From Heartbreak to Hope: The Story of 5 Kittens Rescued from Disposal

Hey friends, let me tell you a heartwarming story about how I rescued a mama cat and her kittens. It started with a sad phone call from a lady who wanted to dispose of her newborn kittens. Shockingly, she was willing to kill them. We intervened and asked if the kittens were still alive, which they were. After some convincing, we managed to keep the mother cat with her babies overnight while I contacted a rescue group for advice. Together, we came up with a plan to persuade the lady to let us keep the mother cat and her kittens for at least two weeks so that the kittens could continue to receive their mother’s milk. In return, we promised to spay all the cats in her home, including the mother cat. It was a huge relief to know that we could help these cats in need. I learned not to judge people’s situations and to be grateful that they reached out to us for help. Let’s continue to help more cats in need.

An update from @theswiftiekittens reveals that they have 5 adorable and perfect little Angel baby kittens under their care. The mother and her babies are doing well, gaining weight and thriving. However, one of the red babies unfortunately passed away due to pneumonia and gut stasis despite all efforts to save him. Nevertheless, the other 4 kittens are doing fine, albeit with some sneezing and are currently on antibiotics.

The mother cat seems to be very attentive towards her babies and takes regular breaks twice a day to clean them up while being supervised by @theswiftiekittens. Despite the heartwarming moments, it’s bittersweet to think that the mother cat will be spayed tomorrow, leaving her kittens behind without her. However, @theswiftiekittens will take on the responsibility of being their mom and bottle-feed them. They remind themselves that they’ve already given the kittens two extra weeks of time with their mother, and that they’re grateful that the kittens are alive.

Can you believe it? The babies are still with their momma! We had to offer a little incentive, but it was worth it to keep them together until the babies are weaned. I’m so happy about it, and so is momma cat. It’s important for the babies to learn about food and water from their mother, and I’m glad they get to experience that. This is how it should be. 💕

Mom’s daily teachings have been quite enlightening. As per @theswiftiekittens, it seems like mother cat is asking “What are you staring at?”
