“From Starvation to Survival: The Resilience of a Scrappy Kitten at Anderson Humane Society”

kitten

This cute little fella was discovered in a warehouse container, starving and dehydrated. The folks at @andersonhumane took him in, and he’s estimated to be around 5 weeks old and half the weight he should be. Unfortunately, we don’t know where his mom is or how long he’s been on his own. Despite all this, he seems to have a big personality and a fighting spirit. We’re starting to nurse him back to health with subcutaneous fluids and eye meds. And as for a name, we’re calling him Ghoul! Shoutout to @themarigoldkittencrew for the suggestion. 👻

Greetings from Ghoul! He hopes you had a pleasant Monday. Good news, his eyes have been improving lately. However, he’s facing some challenges in maintaining proper hydration and experiencing constipation. His appetite fluctuates, but we received a delightful box of treats from @tikipets, and he’s particularly enjoying the kitten mousse (we’ll share some cute videos soon!). As expected, he’s taking numerous medications and supplements. It’s not easy for a baby cat to go without food or water for more than a day and come out unscathed. We’re eagerly awaiting his miraculous turnaround moment, as noted by @themarigoldkittencrew.

Update on Ghoul: Still cute as ever and now showcasing his unique personality traits. With improved health and energy, Ghoul has discovered his favorite food, developed a curiosity for toys, and most excitingly, he’s learned to purr! It’s heartwarming to see him come out of his shell and become a sweet little kitten. As shared by @themarigoldkittencrew.

“I left my beloved cat Ghoul at the shelter for a few days as I’m heading out of state to see a family member. I’m happy to report that Ghoul is quite popular there and will be treated to lots of yummy treats! Can’t wait to reunite with him on Sunday. Take care, buddy!” This message was shared by @themarigoldkittencrew.
