A man went to great lengths to transform himself into the Marvel supervillain Red Skull, undergoing extreme body modifications that included having his nose removed and horns implanted on his head. Henry Rodriguez, a Venezuelan father and tattoo artist, has spent over £30,000 on his transformation. Inspired by his love for the Marvel Universe and his admiration for the character, Henry decided to embrace his uniqueness by becoming the fictional Nazi villain from the Captain America comics. “Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been drawn to what is different and bold. As a comic fanatic, I wanted to embody the character I’ve always admired,” Henry explained. Embracing his new appearance, Henry expressed that the most important thing is feeling good about oneself.
Spending over £30,000, Henry Rodriguez has transformed himself to resemble the Marvel character Red Skull, who first appeared as a villain in 1947. Portrayed by Hugo Weaving in the 2011 movie Captain America: The First Avenger, and voiced by Ross Marquand in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, Red Skull is known as the arch-enemy of Captain America.
Henry, aged 42, has shared his transformation journey on Instagram, showcasing photos from before all his procedures. His extreme transformation includes having his eyes tattooed black, implants inserted into his head, cheeks, and eyebrows, as well as undergoing surgeries to remove part of his nose and amputate his ear lobes.

The infamous Red Skull made his comic debut in 1947 as the nemesis of Captain America and has since made his presence known in various films. When asked about the character, he noted, “I see a bit of myself in him when it comes to our personalities and attitudes. However, it is crucial to clarify that I do not share his Nazi beliefs.” He admires the character’s distinct appearance, bold personality, and individuality. In 2012, he made the bold decision to undergo a complete transformation to resemble the iconic Red Skull. Over time, he continued to make changes to his appearance in order to further set himself apart from the well-known character.

Prior to undergoing body modifications, Henry had to undergo various physical and psychological evaluations as recommended by his surgeon. The entire process of transforming his body has taken more than 130 hours to complete. Henry recalled, “My initial transformation involved getting an eye tattoo using a technique known as inkeyeball.” He further explained, “Following that, I had two implants inserted under my skin. The process took around two years as it needed to be done gradually, and ended up taking longer than anticipated.”
Henry’s first implant was placed right in the center of his forehead, marking the beginning of his body modification journey. Subsequent implants followed in his eyebrows and cheeks, leading to further alterations such as nose amputation and ear reshaping.
